Others find their way back.In 1973, Soviet scientists created Baikal more or less by accident — a sparkling botanical drink of rare complexity, drawn from pine needle extract, taiga root, and eucalyptus.When the Iron Curtain fell, the original recipe vanished with the world that made it.Until 2009, when the original recipe resurfaced in a small atelier in Berlin-Kreuzberg. It was there that WOSTOK was born.Named after the Russian word for the East, the brand revived the lost formulation as Tannenwald — Pine Forest — and from that foundation, a family of extraordinary sodas grew.Each flavour draws from a different corner of the world's culinary heritage.Distinct as they are, every WOSTOK flavour is bound by the same uncompromising standard:
